Report on Road Safety program on Thursday, 4th August 2022: Road Safety Awareness program attracted around 250 drivers from leading transport companies Megha Travels, SRS, Sharma organised by Toyota Kirlosker Motors (TKM). Mr Vinay Kumar, Senior Vice President, TKM presided at Bidadi, Ramanagar Taluk, 30 Kilometres away from Bengaluru City. Full day program in two session was effectively addressed by Dr. B.Suresh Kumar, Director (PR & Training) jointly with Mr Jayanth Garudachar, Asst. Director (Training) under the banner NATIONAL ROAD SAFETY ORGANISATION,
Mr Jayanth Garudachar reports "It is learnt that TKM that the employee transportation department was staring at 17.6% accident rate during the year 2016. The management immediately put together a team to look into the causes and based on the studies conducted and evidence collected, regular safety awareness programs were introduced and on this event was one such program. Because of such continuous improvement measures, they have brought down the accident rate to 1.5%".
TKM stresses on the importance of road safety to the drivers by continuous monitoring education, training etc. and make them feel that these drivers are equally important in the social fabric of TKM since they have the important job of ferrying the factory employees safely without incidents.
Such measures brings in genuine involvement in safety aspects to the drivers and they carry out their duty with pride and safely transporting employees.
